Are you worried that your introverted nature is holding you back from potential sales? Well, I’m an introvert myself, and I still found a way to build a multiple 6-figure coaching business. It is possible to build your business around you and create systems that you feel comfortable with. This is why today I’m taking you through my top sales strategies for introverts.

sales strategies for introverts
Let’s do some storytime for a minute.

At the beginning of my business journey, I was told that I needed to LIVE stream consistently. I started live streaming every day, and I remember streaming on our anniversary and thinking to myself, “There’s gotta be a different way.”

Like, there’s no way I could just keep live streaming. Live streaming wasn’t even a thing before a couple of years ago, so there had to be some kind of different option.

It was the same thing with sales calls.

I remember the month that I hit my very first five-figure month, I booked 27 sales calls. I was super excited because I made five figures, but the idea of doing another sales call drained the life out of me. Whenever someone would book on my calendar I would literally hope that they would cancel or no-show. Which caused my business to downslide and put me in a roller coaster effect.

Some months were huge, like 5-figures and some were as low as $4000.

Nowadays I actually love sales calls but it’s because I’ve created a very specific system that works for me, and I only talk to clients that I genuinely want to work with (and can pay my rates).

That would be my first sales strategy for introverts, creating a system that pre-qualifies the potential clients that get to speak to you.

Create a form they have to fill out before they can book on your calendar. If you have an assistant, have them talk to the client first to see if they’re a good match for your services. Do what you can to make sure that by the time you’re getting on the phone you know this is a client you want to work with.

I would then recommend restricting your phone availability.

For example, I only do discovery and coaching calls on Mondays and Tuesdays. That’s it, and that ensures me that I will get to replenish my energy the rest of the week. Creating strong boundaries can mean all the difference for an introvert.

My second sales strategy for introverts would be to hone in on the content creation platform that you LOVE.

The one that fuels your fire rather than burns you out. For example, I love videos. I create YouTube videos, talk on my Instagram stories, my courses are made up of videos, and that’s what I like. Writing like blogs, emails, and social media posts feels like a drag so I outsource for those things.

However, even if you’re not in the place to outsource yet it’s still OK to choose one platform and stick to it.

People have grown hugely successful businesses with just a blog, just a podcast, or just a YouTube channel. Some even have just a social media account. The point is to avoid stretching yourself too far out of your comfort zone because, for an introvert, that sour your motivation for your business real quick.

Hot Tip: Being an introvert myself, I like to create courses as a passive income stream and a way to grow my business.

I create the content once, set up a sales page, and the entire process becomes automatic. I don’t have to speak to anyone to sell it, and the buyer consumes it on their own.

Lastly, for my sales strategies for introverts, your business is going to work best when it works for you.

So many people get tricked into buying into other people’s strategies because they are admiring something outside of themselves. You see someone talking about making 6-figures in a month so you buy into their program only to realize it’s a strategy based on an extrovert, or someone who loves public speaking or someone who writes books for a living — and it might not work for you.

When it comes to your business I always recommend choosing a strategy that vibes with you.

Something you can see yourself sustaining for years, and growing with. You shouldn’t have to force yourself to show up for your business and clients, you should want to.

There you have it, and now that you have my sales strategies for introverts, I have everything you need to raise your rates, reposition your marketing, and gain confidence.
